RE-ELECT
Medina County Commissioner
Pat
Geissman
Pat Geissman has worked diligently for the people of Medina County and has been responsive to the
community. Pat was the first woman elected as a Medina County Commissioner in 1992 and has stayed
true to her platform by remaining a true fiscal conservative protecting your tax dollars. Pat is a
compassionate leader initiating programs to help battered women, safety improvements at railroad
crossings and has raised thousands of dollars for local charities.  Medina County will be well served to re-
elect Pat Geissman as Commissioner.
                State Representative Bob Gibbs

I have worked with Commissioner Pat Geissman for many years as she has served as liaison to the Sheriff
and am very pleased to endorse her re-election.  Pat is a hard-working Commissioner who listens, who
takes initiative when something needs done and who gets results.  Pat’s efforts have ensured the upgrade
of the county’s 911 system, effective drug abuse enforcement, building a much needed juvenile detention
facility and safety improvements to Medina County railroad crossings – all without raising taxes.  Pat
approaches problems with common sense and in a financially responsible way putting the safety of Medina
County residents and the protection of our wallets first.
               Neil Hassinger, Medina County Sheriff

During my 16+ years in the Ohio Senate, I was privileged to work with Commissioner Patricia Geissman.  I
admire her intelligence, common sense, hard work ethic, and her commitment to the people of Medina
County. Pat is a committed public servant and I endorse her without reservation.
                 Former State Senator Grace Drake

There is a motto you may have seen or heard lately, "Never underestimate the power of TRUST."  Well,
that saying holds true for Patricia Geissman.  Pat represents Medina County well, never forgetting the
southwest corner in which she lives.  She is honest, gracious and willing to admit when she makes an error
in judgement...which doesn't happen often.   I consider Pat Geissman a true civil servant, working hard to
make Medina County the best place to  live, work and enjoy.  Mrs. Geissman is one individual in whom you
can put your TRUST.  Thanks for all you do, Pat.
Thomas Whelan, President, Lodi Community Hospital

We would like to express our appreciation for the years of exceptional service Commissioner Pat Geissman
has provided to Medina County and Liverpool Township.  Anytime we requested assistance or information
Pat was available to help in whatever way she could.  Over the years our experience has been that we can
count on Pat to follow through with what she promises in supporting township grants and other projects.
We are looking forward to her continued service for another four years.
                       LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
James Crocker       Barbara Mack        Cathy Keller
                    Chairperson           Vice Chairperson       Trustee

It is a rare occurrence to meet an elected official who is as genuine and warm hearted as Pat Geissman.  I
have known Pat since her first campaign to represent the people of Medina County as a Commissioner,
nearly seventeen years ago.  Pat’s honesty, openness and sincerity is evident in everything she
undertakes.  I have worked along side Pat while she advocated for and made happen a shelter for battered
women and children.  Specifically, Pat’s work on behalf of older adults has earned her accolades from
people across this state and in Medina County.  When Federal funding was cut for meals for seniors she
found the money in the county budget to ensure no senior went hungry.  Pat assisted in starting the
Farmers Market Nutritional Program for seniors living in poverty and without taxpayer’s money.  Pat sees a
problem and she works to resolve the problem with little fanfare.  Pat has a distinctive voice in her
conservative values and her high regard for the people she represents.  These ideals have endeared her
to her constituents.  Please join me in ensuring Pat returns to represent us and our future.
Sandy Calvert, State Central Committee, 22nd Senate District, Medina County Resident

What I tell everyone about Ms. Geissman is that not only is she well respected by State officials but also all
of the local communities.  When you need something done, she is the one to go to.  I appreciate her
dedication and commitment to run for commissioner again.  She is a pleasure to work with.
Emil Bolas, Sharon Township Trustee (deceased)

It is with great pride that I share my respect and admiration with you regarding Commissioner Pat
Geissman.  I had the opportunity to work with Pat for fourteen years.  Pat frequently dealt with personnel
issues and case related issues throughout that time.  Sometimes they were not the most pleasant of
circumstances.  Pat always approached the issue with fairness and utmost objectivity.  Pat gathered the
facts, asked tough but fair questions and ultimately made her final decision.  I always knew that Pat looked
at all aspects and only then, made a fully informed decision that she was willing to uphold.  That is not to
say that Pat lacks passion.  Pat has steadfastly been an advocate on behalf of the elderly both at the state
and local level.  Her behind the scenes hard work has been recognized by many in the field of geriatric
social work.  I often shared data with her that she in turn took to the state level in order to demonstrate the
needs of the elderly.  Pat also makes the commitment to meet with staff from numerous agencies, parents
and attend many ongoing activities throughout the community.  Pat is anything but "a part-time
commissioner".  Medina County is fortunate to benefit from her leadership skills.  As a Medina County
resident, I hope she continues to represent us in the future.  Please join us and support the re-election of
Pat.
Mary Vantz, Deputy Director, Medina County Job & Family Services (retired)

It is with pride and honor that I unqualifiedly endorse Pat Geissman for Commissioner of Medina County.
Asking the hard questions, challenging and sometimes causing a spirited debate is what brings out both
sides of an issue which is not only what we want, but what we expect from our government leaders.  Pat has
always had the best interests of all of Medina County residents on her mind.  Pat formed a railroad task
force to evaluate and prioritize grade crossings to get state funded grants for gates and lights at
dangerous crossings to help make crossings in Medina County Safer. She has been a strong supporter of
the Hands Foundation which is helping hundreds of Medina County’s Senior Citizens.  She is involved in
many other organizations and throughout our County. As a County Commissioner she has been a strong
voice in our County’s government.  Thank you Pat for your many years of service and the giving of
yourself, and your family.  Please join me in supporting and re-electing Pat Geissman as Medina County
Commissioner.
James R. Bigam, Central Committee Chairman, Medina County Republican Party

For over 30 years Pat Geissman has shown to be a dedicated and caring leader through the offices she
has held in Medina County.  As a council person for the village of Lodi I have had the opportunity to see
exactly how important it is to have a commissioner that truly cares for the communities that make up Medina
County.  To re-elect Pat is to help guarantee continued growth and prosperity for all of Medina County"
Mike Landis, President Pro Tem, Lodi Village Council

It is my pleasure to endorse Pat Geissman for Medina County Commissioner.  I have worked as HR for the
Medina County Highway Engineer for over 22 years and I admire the fact that Pat takes her position
seriously and puts herself wholly into whatever project she is working on. She researches carefully and
tries to always be fair in her judgments. Working with Pat through the years on various committees,
charitable functions, boards, projects, etc., I have been able to see her hard work and dedication firsthand.
I am now also proud after many years of working together, to be able to call her my friend.  I believe Pat
Geissman will continue to work hard for our County and represent her constituents in the manner they
deserve.
Janine Sarnowski, Human Resource Coordinator, Medina County Engineering

Pat Geissman has a proven record of fiscal responsibility in Medina County. She has maintained a
balanced budget throughout each term, and her many projects have been accomplished with no increase
in taxes. As a result, Medina County has a 'Superb' credit rating. Her sound management is definitely
needed in these trying times.
                    Paul and Landra Zaleha, Wadsworth

I have lived in this community for 29 years, and I vote in every election for the person vs. a specific party.
As a CEO of a non-profit corporation and as a volunteer in this community, I have had the opportunity to
work with county commissioners over the past 25 years.  Pat Geissman has proven to possess the valuable
combination of both maturity and experience. Pat has proven to be a person who genuinely listens to all
sides of the issues, and to anyone who calls on her.  You always have her undivided attention.  She thinks
things through, seeks advice from other experts, and is not afraid to stand up to issues that are 'unpopular'
when the truth needs to be known by the public.  She is a person in politics that exhibits integrity, good
common sense, and compassion - that is truly rare.
