| | Organized a Railroad Safety Task Force, which so far has resulted in more than 2.6 |
| | million dollars in State and private foundation grants to improve the safety of Medina
County Rail crossings.

| | Spearheaded with Sheriff Hassinger a collaborative effort between the courts and |
| | service providers for programming to reduce repeat offenders in the jail resulting
from mental health issues.

| | Established the Commissioner’s Charity Ball already donating close to $200,000 to |
| | local community service organizations.

| | Office for Older Adults

| | Took the lead in coordinating efforts to upgrade Emergency Dispatch and 911 systems

| | Organized a “one stop” service center for county agencies for your convenience

| | Initiated the creation of a Public Defenders Office saving hundreds of thousands of tax |
| | dollars to provide mandatory court related services.

| | Engaged with county-wide leaders building a University Center for higher education |

| | Townships, Cities and Villages.

Pat Geissman has consistently recognized the needs of our county and has initiated
effective solutions without raising taxes.
Among Pat's core issues have been quality of life for all - with a focus on senior
citizens and people with mental illness and disabilities.
She also believes in fostering a healthy economic climate in our county, supporting
economic development to create and retain jobs.
Pat has networked effectively with other agencies and levels of government to find
funding for many projects she has initiated for the county - from rail crossing safety
upgrades for our county's many dangerous crossings, to a juvenile detention center for
which she secured $1.3 in federal funding.
